Sunrise Engineering is thrilled to announce the addition of our newest office in the charming city of Pocatello, Idaho. This strategic expansion reflects our commitment to serving the dynamic needs of our clients and communities. To provide you with an in-depth look into our Pocatello office, we sat down for a Q&A session with key members of the team. Here’s an exclusive glimpse into what makes our Pocatello office unique.
Team Size and Expertise
Currently, our Pocatello office boasts a dedicated team of nine professionals, each bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. The Pocatello team specializes in land development, with an impressive portfolio that includes signature projects like Harvest Springs and Northside Crossing, both master-planned developments in Chubbuck, Idaho. These projects have been ongoing for several years, serving as a testament to the office’s commitment and capability.
A Rich History
Before joining Sunrise Engineering, the Pocatello office operated under the name RMES (Rocky Mountain Engineering and Surveying) since its inception in 1997 by the visionary Mitchell Greer. Over the years, the office experienced growth and fluctuations, adapting to economic changes and expanding its market reach. Sadly, in April 2022, we lost the founder of RMES, Mitch Greer. Despite the challenges faced, the office remained resilient, earning its reputation as the go-to firm for land development in Pocatello and Chubbuck, proudly living up to its slogan, “We built this city.”
Distinctive Services
What sets our Pocatello office apart from other Sunrise Engineering locations is its specialization in land development and subdivisions. The team’s deep-rooted experience and commitment to quality make them a valuable asset to the company.
Culture and Atmosphere
The office prides itself on maintaining a positive company culture that aligns with Sunrise’s values. Despite facing adversity in recent years, the atmosphere is on the upswing, thanks to the collective resilience and determination of the team.
Community Engagement
Our Pocatello office actively engages with the local community and clients. One standout project is Alpine Crossing, in partnership with SEICAA (Southeast Idaho Community Action Agency), which aims to provide affordable housing options through a unique Self-Help Housing/Labor Contribution Homebuyer program.
Professional Development
Throughout its history, the Pocatello office has prioritized professional development. The team’s collective experience and the diverse range of projects they’ve undertaken have served as invaluable training opportunities for employees.
Office Traditions
Before becoming a part of Sunrise Engineering, the office had a tradition of organizing company BBQs, fostering camaraderie among team members.
Future Aspirations
Looking ahead, the Pocatello office aspires to grow its staff and expand its project portfolio in southeastern Idaho, contributing to the region’s development and success.
Acknowledging Our Exceptional Team
Our Pocatello team is composed of exceptional individuals, each bringing unique skills and dedication to the office. Their unwavering commitment and resilience have been instrumental in the office’s journey.
In conclusion, Sunrise Engineering is excited to welcome the Pocatello office into our family. Their history, expertise, and dedication to excellence make them a valuable addition to our team, and we look forward to the positive impact they will continue to have on their community and beyond.
